I figure someone is going to eventually ask this question, so it seems like a good time to answer it.

The current incarnation of the site is essentially a repository for information that I find useful or interesting that perhaps someone else will find useful as well. I spend a lot of time researching the most trivial of subjects, but sometimes I’m sure other people come across the same problem or question and would like more information about it. I’ll eventually write an FAQ about where this domain name comes from, the history of my personal sites, etc.

I needed to solve a recurring problem I encounter after spending time to research something. I do all of this research and then have to replicate it later to recall the details. Its nice to have something to reference when you need that information again months later.

I also have a pretty wide variety of interests; everything from cars, to Unix, to music and percussion. As this site evolves I’m sure you’ll see more topics added to the menu.

Lastly, I’d really like to be a contributing author for a ColdFusion book at some point. I make grammatical mistakes regularly I’m sure, but on average, I think I’m a pretty good writer. I think getting some practice writing about technical achievements/problems/solutions will be good practice for this. I do tend to write these articles quickly at night, so they should not be viewed as my best effort at writing.

Don’t expect to see too much about my personal life. I feel like there are already too many blogs like that, and I can’t imagine someone being too interested in my daily activities as they are pretty routine.

Please take the site at face value, and hopefully it will provide the information or purpose for whatever you are visiting the site for. Oh, and thanks for visiting. :)
