I just got C & C++ working on my machine as I’m currently taking a C class, and will probably be taking C++ in the Spring. In case you’d like to setup Eclipse as a C/C++ IDE, here is a .pdf which gives you a step by step walk through on getting HelloWorld working in both C and C++.
