First Mention of ColdFusion on the Internet?

I was just looking for some info on Google Groups and I think I may have found what appears to be the first mention of ColdFusion on the internet by it’s founder J.J. Allaire.

I suppose that means it’s 10th birthday is coming up pretty soon, eh? It’s cool to think I’ve been using a language for the majority of it’s life, though not quite as long as the early adopters in the community who’ve been using it since CF 1.5!

    FYI -

J.J. and Jeremy Allaire are actually two different people. Just in case you want to clean up that link from J.J.’s name to Jeremy’s blog.

  2. Thanks– I fixed the link.

  3. By the way, the Internet Archive at archive.org had several timepoints from the Allaire Alive part of the Allaire website. There it had cached parts of a collage in different time points. I found the parts and reassembed them into a single image here:

Its retro like ColdFusion meets the Brady Bunch.

  4. Very cool Steven. I was actually going to check archive.org out yesterday as well to see what they had for allaire.com but didn’t get around to it. Mostly I thought it was pretty cool to come across a newsgroup posting about it. :)
