Using One Instance of ColdFusion For Multiple Application Instances

I just came across an older post from Steven Brownlee about how to run multiple instances of ColdFusion all deployed from the same ColdFusion Application instance. This configuration looks to be extremely handy, especially if you find yourself having to add/remove/edit datasources fairly often.
