Dang, talk about typos. That second sentence should read "showed that MySQL AB is now heavily pushing their commercial offerings,".

I used to be a big MySQL fan, but I've drifted away from them over time, as they become more and more commercialized. A recent visit to their site showed they MySQL AB is not heavily pushing their commercial offerings, to the point that it was hard to find the free stuff. And when I did, they still tried to talk me out of getting the free version.

I've used PostgreSQL in the past, but I'll probably be giving it a more serious look for future projects.
